Seen the film, and read the book! Great stuff. March 28, 2000

I watched the film first, then read the book.

I have to say, books are generally more detailed than the films, but the film was graet aswell.

A man has a curse put on him by an Indian chief.....a "Thinner" curse. Soon, he becomes "Thinner" and "Thinner". No matter what he does, no matter how hard he tries, he just CANNOT put on weight, and considering this man was overweight to start with, you would think that this would be a simple task....... Maybe....Maybe not. Read it to find out the rest.

This book (written under a pen name by Stephen King) shows how a simple idea takes the reader on a trip to insanity, where murder and superstitions rule. The novel follows Bill Halleck after he has been cursed by an old gypsy. Billy who was fat becomes thinner, and does so incredibly fast. The novel can be slow in parts but the incredible twist at the end leaves you gasping in surprise. A must read for any horror fans.
