| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.co.uk Review Deadly Embraceis another slice off the huge bland loaf of story that is Jackie Collins' stock in trade. Madison Castelli--the streetwise reporter who has featured in five other Collins novels--is taken hostage in a smart LA restaurant by three Russian skinheads who seem to have more plans than is entirely consistent with their gross stupidity. Meanwhile, her half-brother Vincent is on the brink of murderous jealousy in Vegas and her sister Sofia is avoiding rape in Spain; above all, their father Michael is coping with being accused of the murder of his wife and is on the run from the police and his past. Michael Castelli is the most interesting character here, someone who has drifted in and out of criminality the same way he has drifted in and out of love. Collins writes--not well, but convincingly--about obsession and vindictiveness; she also has some sense of how the sheer business of life makes some people let issues slide for decades at a time. This is a book which preaches the virtues of intelligence and emotional control, yet its story-telling is all over the place--most of the plot issues stop at a place marker rather than coming to any conclusion. Collins can do the glamour of the celebrity culture, but she is worryingly caught up in its emotional vapidity. --Roz Kaveney

The best book ive ever read!! September 6, 2003 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
well, ive read pretty much ever Jackie Collins book written, as my auntie got me into them! so i know a good Collins book when i read one - this was definatly the best! it doesnt have the classic 'smut' of her usual books, but the excellently gripping story line makes it fantastic! Madison is one of my favourite collins characters, so finding out about her past is the best thing Jackie could have done. Dont hesitate - buy this book now!
Amazing! June 5, 2003 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Madison Catelli. A woman who's world is shattered when she finds out more than she wanted to know about her family's history and enemies. However, the difficult and complicated life her father has lived comes back to haunt her when she herself is taken hostage in a restaurant by armed gunmen. This book is fantastic to say the least. It's great how the different parts of the plot, past and present, come together as one and how it ends leaving you wanting more. A great read.

This book is excellent. It has its good share of rudeness, suspence and is very exciteing. It has a good story line about each of the characters. I reccomend this book to people who like to read a good book. ideal for people 18 years old and above!
Fantastic May 18, 2003 This book, was brilliant, it was one of the best Jackie Collins I have ever read! The book follows Madison Castelli, who we met previously in Lethal Seduction. It also follows her father Micheal, and it goes back in time following him in his life then swapping to the present. It does sound complicated, but as with all of Collins' books it was a very esay read and I could not put it down, it took me only 2 days to read. It is a must have for all Jackie Collins fans, as I have seen above, one of the best, it remined me a little bit of American Star.
Review - Jackie Collins 'Deadly Embrace' November 22, 2002 This book is a definate must have for all Jackie Collins fans, I read it in two days even though its quite a thick book, you really cant put it down, and even though it does skip backwards and forwards between the years, its very easy to follow.
