Very good book with some brilliant stories of music hall acts. Previous revue mentions that Norman Wisdom is not included but he was a film funny man rather than music hall.Book includes Formby ,Askey ,Jimmy James and loads of others . Easy reading and very entertaining.

I awaited delivery of this book with great expectation from a man whose experience of the subject is well known. I was therefore surprised to find that there were very few anecdotes whatsoever, and an unexpected mix of content. How,in such a book, one can mention Russ Abbot, yet leave out Norman Wisdom for example, should give you an idea of the content. I certainly got the idea that the subjects were friends of the author, which is fine, but does not make for an interesting read or give you a feel of the period.
