As a new teacher, I found this book invaluable. With the current demand for a topical starter to motivate the pupils as they arrive at the classroom, this is just what teachers need. Other books like 'Red Hot Starters' does not even get close!
Combining such a breadth of mathematics, this book provides a wealth of material that enables teachers to plan effectively AND gives puzzles that can motivate even the most 'switched off' student. I have used the puzzles across the KS3/4 age range - all positive reactions. Expensive Yes, but worth getting the school to buy it for the department.
