I have found this box set very helpful indeed. His learning technique is clear and he explains in simple terms the grammar of Spanish. The course is progressive and gives a real understanding of the language without it being a parrot fashion course. You end up having a real understanding of the language and know why you are saying what you are saying in different situations. Well recommended!!

I cannot focus on the content because the man's mouth noises are just so annoying it is worse than a noisey eater he sounds as though he has very badly fitting false teeth, also he is sometimes so difficult to understand unlike the students whose speech is clear that I have to have an online free translation site open to check on the Spanish.

The short course is a good introduction to learning Spanish. Michel Thomas concentrates on the right pronunciation and short explanations. You start to use quite long sentences very quickly. The course left you wanting to learn more. I was not used to learning without writing something down but it worked well and built my confidence. I started without any knowledge of Spanish. I would certainly recommend it for an introduction to a new language.

The course is very good and you do learn a lot of the language quickly, but the male student is breathtakingly stupid and it makes listening to it fairly annoying as he bumbles along like a moron while the teacher yells and berates him.

I have been a Spanish student for the last 5 years and I know a lot of Spanish, however I have A LOT of trouble putting it all together and making sense.
I really believe that this product will be the turning point to my difficulties.
There is something about this guys voice and approach that he makes you feel as if its all very easy.
I'm looking forward to hearing some of his other cds and progressing on.
The down side to this review is that I'm NOT a beginner and so my judgement is only bassed on the spanish that I already know.
