Excellent course which is perfectly suited to pre-holiday use. Learned 10mins a day in the car driving to work (and repeated on way home) and was not bored with this at all. Humerous and helpful addditions on customs and pronunciation. Didn't need to read the accompanying booklet as it's all on the CD, but handy to check on for spelling etc. Ready for 2 weeks in Tuscany now! Highly recommended.

I got this as I just wanted a very basic understanding of Italian, I have only done two lessons but have to say that it makes learning very easy because of the repetition. I hope that I will be able to talk to my Italian friend on the phone soon.

I own these CDs along with the Smart Italian series, and Talk Italian, and I found that the combination was a good one: Easy Learning Italian (Collins Easy Learning Audio Course) makes you master useful basic sentences, while SmartItalian - Introduction to Italian, Vol.1 adds great tips on pronunciation (with a color coding system that I really like) and efficient explanations of the structure of the language. Talk Italian builds the vocabulary. All three are awesome together.

I found the audio CD very useful. I wanted something that would give me a good grounding to start an Italian course and this was just the thing.
In my opinion, it would also be useful for a holiday or short visit to Italy and was easy to download onto my ipod.
I'd recommend it to anyone in the same situation.
