Featuring the soothing narration of Deepak Chopra over the trancelike music of Adam Plack, The Soul of Healing Meditations serves as an introduction to meditation for neophytes and as a more advanced tool to help overcome a physical ailment and/or emotional toxicity. That may make it sound like a digital elixir, but as Chopra says in his liner notes: 'We like to tell our patients (at the Chopra Center for Well Being) that the body is the best pharmacy in the world and is capable of making wonder drugs.' His message here is that one can naturally prevail over serious life challenges by becoming more attuned to one's body - by relaxing and filtering out the external world, focusing on and influencing internal sensations and biorhythms, and banishing negative thoughts and focusing on the positive aspects of life. This CD is not meant as a cure-all for physical or emotional ills. Rather, it's a supplemental experience to other treatments or programs, and it shows how enlightening and empowering meditation can be when practiced properly. Its actual effects will depend upon the receptiveness of the listener. I am new to meditation and was recomended to try meditating using music. At first Deepak's indian accent made me laugh, but I was so suprised it made me so relaxed I fell asleep the first time, it is a very good cd the only down side is track no. 5 about the gods, If your not hindu or don't believe in any god its so innapropriate, I dont believe in lots of gods so listening to that track was just weird. I just skip that track, other than that its good

Words fail me when it comes to my friend Deepak. His resonant and enchanting voice, mixed perfectly with the ambient music never fails to carry me away and provide a profoundly inspiring meditative experience. I simply cannot stop drinking from his cup!
All I can say is if you are looking for your awakening, it is right here. Deepak merely holds the door open and shows you what you have long been failing to notice; heaven is within you.

I have been using this cd for some time now on and off. I have always found that it helps me relax and feel very calm. Following recent surgery I have used the cd every day and found that my overall well being has improved by a quantum leap.
Using the cd is a beautiful experience in itself and I would recommend it to anyone new to meditation or those in need of physical healing.

I have bought a number of these type of CDs and have to say that it's the best I have heard so far. The combination of music, words, visualisations, etc I felt was well balanced. I really enjoyed the music which the CD contained and Deepak's voice is lovely to listen to.

It is all about gOD. I am atheist. I don't want to lisen anything about gods in my meditation.
