Good book January 2, 2009 Mr. O. Ebrahim (London) It's a good book to read. I found it a little slow to get into the main plot but once it gets into it I was gripped. You're given an insight into the dark side of Afghanistan and Iraq and how money changes hands.
More of the same December 14, 2008 M. Odell (Kent, United Kingdom) Yet another ill plotted, lackluster peformance from a once outstanding author. Crossfire is yet another "ex deniable operative working behind enemy lines on personal vendetta". This book doesnt encompass any new or orginal material or plot lines, painfully similar to McNabs other works. Shame as McNab seems to have fallen from the lime light. I suggest Brad Thor or Vince Flynn for action on more of a political base. Overall if you want a meaningless shoot em up, Crossfire is a remedial edidtion of the "Nick Stone" series.
Excellent December 8, 2008 Peter Smith A really good book, with all the usual McNab gritty realism and, as a bonus, this time the good guys actually come out on top, almost. Very atmospheric, and a good story. Highly recommended.
Back in style! November 25, 2008 Rafal Gruszczynski (Warsaw Poland) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
All what was making McNab great in his first books is back again. Back at the top. To the joy of all those who read his books. Recommended. And waiting impatiently for the next one.
Back to form September 13, 2008 David McGlade (Belfast, N. Ireland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've read all the McNab books, fiction and non-fiction and I have to say that this is one of his best fiction books to date. The Nick Stone series did get a bit dry at points, but this book really had me totally, totally engrossed. Reading it makes you want to go out, run 12 miles and join the Army. Great author. Crossfire
