Recommended by Amazon - because I bought Alan Bennett reading the House at Pooh Corner - but this is nothing like that. Nowhere near as accessible, filled with Victorian anachronism - and not very appropriate for our three year old, who loves Winnie. Aaah well, duped again. Memo to self: Must check more closely...

The voice is fantastic but my 7 year old is not drawn in. He has always listened to audiobooks but this just doesn't seem to catch him, maybe it will be a grower.

my son hasn't listened to them as yet because he has some horrid henry ones. The cd plays fine. The reviews were good, so hopefully my son will enjoy them.

Item arrived earlier than stated in good condition. I have yet to listen to this audio book, but I was pleased to see it was Johnny Morris who recorded it. Not to mention it includes one of my favourites 'How the elephant got its trunk' so I'm greatly looking forward to listening to this in the near future

I bought this product as a xmas pressie for my daughter by a well known author whose books I read as a young girl, the stories are read with much clarity and fun that my daughter loves to listen to at night. Well worth buying for your story book collection if you are a busy working parent who is sometimes too tired to read to your child on a daily basis.
