Product Description Subtitled 'An old man, a young man, and life's greatest lesson', this is a true story of a man's rediscovery of his mentor - an audiobook about second chances, read by the author himself.
Amazon.co.uk Review This true story about the love between a spiritual mentor and his pupil has soared to the bestseller list for many reasons. For starters, it reminds us of the affection and gratitude that many of us still feel for the significant mentors of our past. It also plays out a fantasy many of us have entertained: what would it be like to look those people up again, tell them how much they meant to us, maybe even resume the mentorship? And we meet Morrie Schwartz--a one of a kind professor, whom the author describes as looking like a cross between a biblical prophet and Christmas elf. Finally, we are privy to intimate moments of Morrie's final days as he lies dying from a terminal illness. Even on his deathbed, this twinkling-eyed mensch manages to teach us all about living robustly and fully. Kudos to author and acclaimed sports columnist Mitch Albom for telling this universally touching story with such grace and humility. --Gail Hudson

Inspirational July 17, 2010 Najwa Mounla Orloff (Sussex UK) It is inspiratinal....since I read it 2 years ago I've bought many copies of it as a gift to many people; to those caught up in the fast life and to those who needed a new diredtion in life due to special events in their life.
It is a book that you'd go back to it time and time...to assess your life and admire the character and be inspired agasin and again to go on.
Tuesdays with Morrie April 26, 2010 Spider Monkey (UK) `Tuesday's With Morrie' is an inspiring book from Mitch Albom that recounts a series of conversations he has with an old professor of his called Morrie Schwartz. The twist is that Morrie is dying from ALS and has plenty of advice to impart before he goes. This book is extremely easy to read and you will fly through it in no time and the message it shares is one of love, compassion and bravery in the face of adversity. This shares aspects of both Morrie's and Albom's life and they cover topics as diverse as marriage, growing old, regret, family, money, forgiveness and more besides. This is very much in the genre of book that offers up a meaningful message in an accessible format and is comparable to `Way of the Peaceful Warrior' by Dan Millman or `The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho. This has some good advice and Morrie comes across as genuine and heartfelt, but I found this to be lacking great depth at times. Don't get me wrong, the sentiment and message is great, but it didn't try to dig too deep, it scratches the surface and leave your wanting more. I found this to be better than Albom's other book `The Five People You Meet In Heaven' and I could relate to the story told here better, it even got me thinking about past relationships and had me choked up towards the end. All in all this is an accessible read and shares a worthy message and way to look at life. A positive, heart warming book to read and share.
Its a must April 5, 2010 K. Beck (Co Durham) Just a fabulous read, roller coaster of emotions. Love the way it is written. Since buying this book i have bought a further 4 of Mitch Albom's books and they are all just as good as this. Brilliant
One of the most beautiful books I've ever read March 11, 2010 Ms. J. E. C. Robinson (Stoke-on-Trent) This is a wonderful book.
It feeds so well into what I am doing at the moment. I am training to be a counsellor and we have been looking at the subject of death recently. I have also been reading the Tibetan Book of Living and Dying which looks at being mindful of where we are with our lives and that nothing is permanent, just as Morrie Schwartz took teachings from Buddhism.
Tuesdays with Morrie gives us, as human beings, a lot to think about in terms of our own mortality and how we go about living our lives and making the most of them while we can.
What a courageous, wise man. Such a shame he is not alive to impart more of his wisdom. Highly recommended.
Superb December 24, 2009 Wayne Campbell This book was what i had anticipated.. an insight into the mind of a man whom had nothing to lose and so much to share... ive often thought that its not until we, as human beings, are truly compromised whether it be physically, emotionally or both, that we truly begin to realise whats important..for those of us caught up in these modern times of capitalism and individuality, its worth trying take a bit of time out to appreciate the values illustrated within this book...and for those already on the path of emotional enlightenment..this book should serve to reaffirm the belief systems that you have either already developed or are currently developing..An excellent read.. and a poignant reminder..
